hello,
according to the user, lines do not release on hang-up / rls but, instead, flash away with the in-use triangle on the lcd.
repeated hitting of the line key eventually clears the line.
no recent prog has been done.
these are analogue trunks.
any ideas?
Sometimes the local phone company is not sending a disconnect, or as I have seen, if the local phone company is at some distance from phone system the disconnect signal may not be recognizable.
Ask the phone company to program COD(cut off on disconnect)on the lines. When the remote end drops the call the local telephone office switch will then drop the call towards the switch.
Actually tech9, it's called CPC (calling party control) usually by the LEC's. We do alot of C.O. consulting, and many LEC's are shortening them theese days to increase call volume by shortening call setup and teardown on older analog interoffice trunks....
