Has anyone experienced the problem with the 016TR cards "going to sleep

I am not real sure if this is a problem I am having with one or not.

I have a client that has 2. When I first went on site, 1/2 of the first one was not working.

I did a busy out, reset and then restore and it came back to life.

Two days later I came back and that 1/2 was again not working.

That's not really what I am trying to fix, and the system stays very busy so I don't know if I will swap them and see if the trouble stays with the slot or with the module.

It could be something plugged into it is causing the problem, but I'll just have to see.

As I said, it's not really what I am working on for this client.

I would advise doing the busy out, reset & restore and see what happens.

We do the busyout and restore and the problem goes away, but it always comes back. Avaya told us to update the cards to the latest HW vtg.50,FW vtg.11 and APP Vtg.22 (latest at the time).Problem went away for a month then came back. Next time we swapped the card that was bad with a new 016TR with even newer HW vtg.52, problem came back to the new card, so we swapped it with another 016TR on the system and the problem followed that card. We replaced that card with another 016TR, problem went away again for about a month then reappeared on a different card. Besides swapping the 016TR cards we also tried 2 other processors.(R3 and R4)
We are also starting to see this happen on other systems.

Let me get this straight,

Same problem, different cards, different slots.

I that what you are telling me?

What is the distance to the farthest set out of the building on these modules?

Some are just analog phone less than 50ft away, some are actually being used as voicemail ports(5ft) and one is on a delayed announcement device(5ft).

So, there shouldn't be any issues of stuff coming in from the outstide world. (Out of building)

I would say, if you still have AVAYA support on this, get them to get involved with one of their TIER 3 Engineers.
