Hello

I am new to programming a Merlin Magix, We have a System with a Release 5 processor.
Slot 1: GL/LS ICLID
Slot 2: 024 TDL
Slot 3: 016 T/R
Slot 4: Merlin Messaging R4
Slot 5: Blank

My question is when an anolog device is connected to the 016 T/R, should we automatically receive the intercom dial tone, I have tried connecting connecting standard phones and modems, and no dial/intercom tone is present. The reason for this would be connecting to use the WinSPM software to program system. I cannot utilize the admin port due to my notebook not having a serial port.

At the MAIN CONSOLE, I would go into Centralized Programming for the Extension on the 016 TRR and set the Auto Line Select to INTERCOM.

Menu > System Program > Start > More > Cntrl Progm > Prog Ext > Enter the Extension Number > Press an Intercom Button > Dial *14, Press each intercom button ONCE > Press ENTER > Press SYS PROGRAM.

That should do it.
