How many 016 modules can you have in one carrier? I have 2 carriers right now, and it is a Merlin Legend 7.0 V14.

As long as your power supply is a newer one - you can fill the carrier(s) with them.

The very maximum you can have is four in a single carrier. However, some configurations will not support more than three 016 modules in a carrier.

The final answer will depend on your switch mode (hybrid or key), your power supply, the number of large button phones used (12 buttons or more) and the type of module in the remaining carrier slots. For example, the presence of an OPT, DID or E&M Tie Line module will knock you max 016 module count down by one.

Download the Installation manual and search for Unit Load Calculations or simply post the missing details, and I'll run it down for you.

If these 016 modules are for analog phones - I don't believe you will have a problem. If these are 016 MLX modules - than Dagwood Systems is probably correct.
