I have a cust that just swithched from a T1 to a PRI from a company called Lightyear Communications. Ever since the switch I can't get remote access anymore- I keep getting kicked out or get garbage. The big problem is that they can't call international. The new vendor says they see the request for the call & see the 011 and call type of international ISDN and they want to see the caller type as unknown. I know you can change the Special Services table and did try 4 different settings but none worked. Any suggestions??? Thanks in advance!!

Try changing the "Type of Number" parameter for 011 (Entry 0 in the Special Service Table) to "National".

If you've already tried this, please post a printout of your PRI info; alternatively, email it to tim (at-sign) dagwoodsystems (period) com.

On the delete digits table, the entry for the 011 table must be set to delete three digits, otherwise, when connected to "some" CO switches, they see 011, 011, or a double entry of some type.
On the remote access, sometimes on PRI's the PBX modem just goes goofy. The only way you will be able to access it, is to have the customer reboot On some systems, with a PRI, the customer accessing the modem onsite with a certain modem would send it into the same condition. A reboot of the system woould always fix it. It never seemed to matter if you were using a remote access path or a transfer in from the customer. It's just goofy.

to test put a pool button on a phone of the pri to test the pri , go on the pool button to dial a international number if you cannot the problem is with the vendor , if you can the problem is in your programing

Thanks for all of the help. I was able to get it wkg ok by deleting 3 digits. I am still having probs with remote access but at least my bigger problem is solved!!

I agree with Pepperz about the modems being "goofy". On all the systems I access, Legend or Magix, they act "goofy" whether the Remote Access is by analogue trunk or PRI or DS1 w/ Supertrunk™, sometimes it seems the longer I am on the switch the "goofyer" it gets and SPM gets out of sync. Then I dump the connection and callback. The modem I use on the "PC" is a MultiTech MT3334ZDXV and works on all other connections.
