007MLM Message lights don't work

I have this Legend with 007 MLM & the message lights stoped working. It seems as this voicemail is a little unstable.
It seems to stop working some times. I have the ports set for rotary enable, it's in the group calling, set for linear hunt ect... It seems as if port 4 is doing something, but not getting the job done. Do you really need to set rotary enable?
I looked the up & its for rotary dial phones.

Anyone worked with this much?

Rotary enable is not required on the MLM007 only the merlin messaging. Try pulling the EXP card in the VM (with it turned of course) and remove the 2 unused ports from your group. It may be a bad port upgrade card but I doubt it. It sounds like replacement time.
 
You can check previous posts of mine on how to run the hard drive and port tests on this unit via the RS232 port. The port test will check each port. If the last port in the system is "faulty" - the test should say so. In which case - you will either have to replace the middle 2-port module or remove it and run the system only on two ports (you will also have to adjust the voice mail calling group programming by removing those ports/extensions from the group). You may also have some software corruption on the 007 MLM hard drive - which the hard drive test will not reveal - it only checks the sectors on the drive for readability. The testing procedures for the 007 MLM and Merlin Mail R3.0 are virtually identical - except that a "null modem" is not required for the connection to the 007 MLM's RS232 port.

This is a dead issue. I reset it a second time & it started working
