We have recently installed a 007 MLM card in our Merlin Legend R2 (maybe R3) V4.0 system. We are, generally, quite satisfied, but a few problems have introduced themselves.

The system is configured to answer with the 007's auto-attendant, and then transfer to the selected extension. Ports 10-69 are available across two backplanes for handsets (see below). When the caller dials an extension above 49, the attendant interprets this as an attempt to dial the number in the ones position. For example, when an outside caller attempts to dial extension 62, the attendant reply is, "Your call can not be transferred to extension 2. Please enter extension." Dial 62 again, and the call forwards correctly to extension 62.

All extensions work as expected internally, and there are no other major issues with the system. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks again, and thanks for Tek-Tips for helping me get the MLM working.

James

Check your selector code programming. 6 is probably not set up as a direct extention transfer and also check extention legnth programming. But most likely you will find thet the selector codes are wrong.

Thanks, Don, I think maybe it is the selector issue. We have an MLX-20L, but no Direct Station Selector (DSS). Does this limit us to 50 transferrable extensions? Or is there some way of having more, despite not having a DSS? Thanks!

James

Doh! Nevermind, I got it. Auto-Attendant->Day Menu->Selector Codes: Set 5 and 6 to Direct Extension Transfer. Thanks!
