007 MLM - Merlin Legend Messaging OS?

I believe the hard drive in our MLM 007 is dead. I was told that we can replace the hard drive with a standard 2.5 form factor drive and apply the operating system for the mail unit to it and we will be back.

Can anybody advise on this? Also, if this is accurate, does anybody know where to get the OS and how to apply it?

I was under the impression that the OS is pre burned on those drives, I have never seen seperate disks or or any type of loading media for the VS.
Those are brooktrout drives I think?

They are burned at the factory. I too have never seen any field install disks for the MLM 007. They had some issues. I think that is why Avaya does not support them anymore. There are several good after market voice mails that intergrate really nice with a Legend. You might consider giving on of those a try. Let me know if you need more info.

We are in a state of slight chaos after moving last week, but I think we have a couple of 007 MLM hard drives in stock (somewhere!).
