Make sure there are no other members in 770 that would be a Digital or hybrid phone....(MLX, ETR, ATL), If any of these are assigned to the calling group, it will not take the intergrated VMI setting.
I got it, thanks. One other question. I am setting up the mailboxes but it seems when I call them the voicemail never picks up. Any suggestions?
Also changed to a delayed answer in Auto Attend port only, with all ports set for auto attend. Now it takes 4-5 rings for 770 to pick up for voicemail admin.
I am folling you so far on this. Thanks again for your help. This is what I want to do: All calls durning the day are answered by a human if not picked up in 4 rings auto att. Evening auto att.
You assign the lines to a calling group without any physical members, then have it overflow to the voice mail calling group on a time-based delay (about 20 seconds for 4 rings). You need to make a mailbox with the same extension number as the calling group and point it to the auto attendant. Then also assign the lines to night service and the voice mail calling group so your operator can send them there immediatly at night. You can use the internal voice mail's schedule to change the announcement and the night service button to change the number of rings, or have the night service button control both the number of rings AND the message that plays.
I did the following (a 7/7/2003 post from TouchToneTommy) and simply get the voicemail message for the operator now.
Step-by-Step of what I did:
Menu
System Programming
Exit
Extensions
More
Grp Calling
Line/Pool
791 (the unused "delayed-call handling" group)
Enter
[Enter each line number, or the pool number that they are in]
Enter after each entry
Back
Back
Grp Calling
Overflow
791 (the unused "delayed-call handling" group)
Enter
770 (or whatever the Voice Mail calling group is)
Enter
Number Based Overflow
Backspace out the current number
99
Enter
Time Based Overflow
Backspace out the current number
[the number of seconds before the AA should answer]
Enter
Now create a mailbox by logging into the system administrator's mailbox. Press 4 for mailboxes, press 4 to create a mailbox, dial 791#, answer 15# for the class-of-service, I think you still have to give it a name (this part is from memory, just follow the prompts)
Sounds like you have the Night Service button set up right, but here is the sequence:
System Program
Exit
Night Service
Group Assign
Calling Grp
[extension number of the Night Service Operator]
Enter
770 (or whatever the Voice Mail calling group is)
Enter
