I'm running imbedded sql code in a microfocus cobol pgm. When trying a simple select statement, I get a -000942 return code. Is there any place I can look up the meaning of this?

An ORA-00942 error means that the table or view in your query doesn't exist. You may have mistyped the name, or maybe you need to specify the owner.table_name if you are running the query with a different id than the table owner.

technet.oracle.com also has all of the other Oracle error messages down to Oracle 8 (maybe even 7.3). It's definitely worth registering (free), if you haven't already.
