00028 Autonumber

An autonumber is running up 1, 2, 3 ...
I need a formatted number 00028, 00029, 00030 (leading zero's).
Now I fix it with in an update query, but prefare that it is set fixed automatically, is there a way, eg with a function ?

Alternately, ensure the format in visible fileds and report is set as above.

Remember that autonumber is not that helpful as it will allow gaps and missing numbers to appear.
