We have a MM1.1 for Exchange connected via PRI (QSIG) and have started experiencing intermittent dropped calls when a caller hits 0 out of a mailbox or auto attendant and the call covers back to the "0" out destinations voice mail. It will ring the "0" out extension but as it goes to coverage you hear a DTMF tone and the call drops. Happens about 50% of the time. Does not appear to be specific to any ports/PRI trunks.

When it goes out to 0 what is it transfering to ? A phone or a console

We have reports that is both types of 0 outs. If you have something on either, it may get us going in the right direction. Thanks for your response!

You may want to restart the T-1 card what software are you on on the PBX

We are running 3.0.1. We are scheduled to upgrade 3.1.2 in mid October.

This problem was resoved by the following:

From Avaya;

By looking at the logs, it seems like we're receiving DTMF D tone due to time out while the ports are bridged and therefore bringing down the call. What I would like to try is to set the following registry settings to disable DTMF ‘D’ tone detection.

Run regedt32 and add/edit the AntiTromboneDTMFDisable registry under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Octel\Geneva\Vcm_TelephonyServiceMgr\QSIG
