Are you saying you can't print the Euro symbol from Excel? What DOES print, if not the euro? Tell us everything you can, including how you get the euro symbol into Excel in the first place: are you using cell formatting or inserting the symbol or what?

Pete: I can't help you if you can't answer ALL my questions. I need to know how it was done so I know if you're inserting them properly; and then we can go from there.

the euro symbols aren't inserted as the cells in question contain array formulae. if i insert a euro symbol it will (i assume) overwrite the formulae which is no good to me.
i have formatted the cells that contain the formula as currency and changed the windows currency symbol to euros using control panel.
Aha! And you have changed the symbol from $ to € in the Format-Cells box? What version of Excel, please? I can do this without problem in 2000, but I don't have 97 here (like I do at work) to compare them. I'll check that tomorrow.
