Hi, we have a 595, and we're planning a FW upgrade.
In the IBM web site there are somre requisites to be met under certain circumstances:
This information is being included to provide important information regarding a specific problem (described below) that may occur on p5+ servers under certain circumstances. If the Feature Code/CCIN of the server you are installing this firmware on is not included in the table below, this information should be disregarded.
The feature codes for 9119-595 are FC 8968, CCIN 53BE and FC 8970, CCIN 53BD.

We know we have FC 8970 installed (16-Way POWER5+ 2.1GHz Standard CUoD Processor Book), but we don't know it it has CCIN 53BD or not (don't even know what CCIN is).

Do you know how could we know our CCIN?

Thanks

I am not sure but maybe you can check it running command:

lsvpd|grep -i -e cc -e fc

But you should be able to find this informations in the 595 delivery/invoice document.

Try

lscfg -vp|grep -p 'Customer Card ID Number'

or more specific

lscfg -vp|grep -p 'Customer Card ID Number'|grep -ip 'proc'

Thanks for all the replies. lscfg was exactly what we need.

Unfortunately we're gonna have to upgrade to 5.3 TL05 to meet the requisites, because we've got the CCIN 53BD

Customer Card ID Number.....53BD
