I am struggling with an issue in a pivot table I have a pivot table in which i wish to permantly restrict the row selection to a set of specific items, i.e exclude any new fields when refreshing the pivot table. Is this possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Is there any way that i can invoke an automatic refresh of pivot table data in a shared workbook. I am aware that certain functions do not work in a shared workbook - this being one of them - but is there a way round it? Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
