    Professional Societies in Medical IT

Hi all, I'm a VB/Java programmer working for a private medical company in the UK. I was wondering if anyone was aware of any Professional Societies in this particular area in the UK. The only one I have been able to find is the The British Computer Society. Thanks Aaryn

Thanks Sera/Wishdiak Unfortunately this was a live site and I eventually paid my host support to sort it out. Thanks anyway. Aaryn

    Installing Perl on FreeBSD 4.8

Hi, I am trying to install Perl 5.8 on a FreeBSD server to run the latest version of AwStats. However, all I get when installing this package using pkg_add -r perl is error that I can only imagine are due to some dependency issues. I can't seem to find any notes on dependencies for perl, so...

Reading Dated XML files from one directory

Thanks Cube. I thought that the one file would be more logical. Ho Hum, I'll look for another source I guess. Thanks for your input. Aaryn

Hi, First time I have looked at using XML and RSS, and I am wanting to put a news section from home on website (living overseas) I have a directory from the New Zealand Herald here: http://syndication.apn.co.nz/headlines/xml/ These files are updated 3 times a day, and as you can see, each xml...

    Cut Square (or any shape)

Thanks Tony, Worked it out. Not sure what I was doing wrong, but I got it by trying it in a new canvas and dragging the cut square onto my original (rather complicated) one. Cheers Aaryn

    Cut Square (or any shape)

OK, I've been through tutorials on logo design and usually they say that you can cut any shape you want out of another shape using the maquee tool and simply pressing delete. For some reason when I do this, it deletes the entire layer. All I am trying to do is take a rounded square, and cut it...

    Uninstalling Drivers

Cheers Mate, Will give it a go in safe mode - which reminds me: Every time (almost) I boot up, it starts at that page asking what mode I want to start in (safe, safe with networking, normal) like it does when it crashes, even if I shut down properly. Any idea why it would do that? Not a major...

httpd.conf - Can't Turn Indexes On in any directory

Hi Wishdiak, Folder permission whas the first thing I looked at. And I have just checked again. The photo_upload folder is set to drwxrwxrwx and so is everything in it. I thought this would allow absolutely anyone and everyone to have permission.

httpd.conf - Can't Turn Indexes On in any directory

Hi Wishdiak Done as suggested - First did 'apachectl configtest' and got the message 'Syntax OK' Then tried restarting using 'apachectl restart' and got the message '/bin/apachectl restart: httpd restarted' No difference. You can check the link above if you like. Still I get no indexing...

httpd.conf - Can't Turn Indexes On in any directory

Hiya, OK, found plenty of posts searching this forum relating to the opposite of my problem, but couldn't get a reverse solution to work. So I'm sure that this is just a simple thing I've missed or misunderstood. I have a directory in my public_html directory that I plan to upload photos and...
