What if you put the client in your /etc/hosts file and add the ip when you doa add_install_client?

Nac you manuell mount /opt/shared ?

before you tar the /opt dic be sure that you got enough space or try something lite this: tar -cvfp /opt/* | tar -xvf /mnt
