The service manual has illustrations and such.
The screeching noise seems to be emulating from under the toner cartridges. The I.U. turns freely by hand. Black print is very faint on pages. Color looks ok.
I suspect the Developer drive motor/ assembly but ran out of time and will return to troubleshoot. I haven't removed the covers yet...
Kelly,
Someone else may offer a more model specific responce for you but I'd recommend you uninstall / reinstall your printer software. Sounds like a classic case of driver corruption to me. (i.e. copying and scanning perform correctly )

Thanks ... Pivot plate is definately cracked.
The(Right side)Metal cam strike plate was lying in bottom too.
I didn't find that the cams have slipped on the shaft but each cam appears to have a hairline crack across the backside of it where its secured to the shaft. They still fit tightly but...
Phaser 850. Scraping sound.
Anyone had to replace a Y-axis belt drive assembly for noise? An awful scraping sound as the belts turn. Very noticable even in standby mode as brief low speed belt rotation is made.

So far:

I had located the sensor, unfortunately no paper was stuck and the sensor wasn't broken or binding.
How accurate is the diagnostics in your opinion? It did point towards the sensor. If i order the sensor do you think its 99% probability it will fix it?
Thanks
