Never the less, those two terms are having the same meanning nowadays; the problem remains the same, named udma100, udma 5 or UAta 100; my hdd refuse to be set at the transfer speed that he and the mobo "knows" (and i'm sure that the mobo is capable of udma 100, 'couse, as i've said, i've tried...- inblack

add a second hard disk but have one C drive
I think it's possibile to alocate two or more drives to one partition; one could merge the new harddisk to a folder on the old hardisk with Partition Quest Magic; or, there is a setting in XP (or it was a 2003 ? u'll have to dig the net for the right windows) that allows raid software, and one...- inblack

Hello; i have a DFI AD70sc mother board and a Western Digital 40BB hard drive; the problem is that nomatter what drivers I've installed and bios updates I've done, any Western Digital drives that I've mount refuse to stay in udma 100 seting; things that i've done so far : latest bios updates...- inblack
