Thanks for your replies. Today I tried the Borland newsgroups and got the answer I required ie int EdWidth = ((TMyGrid*)StringGrid1)->InplaceEditor->Width; is the correct syntax for casting.- gillz67

search PDF compressed text
I am unable to use Windows (win2000) search to find words in pdf manuals as the text is compressed. I am unable to find a way to distill text as uncompressed in Acrobat 6 Standard, else would redistill the manuals. Does anyone have any solutions, please?
