table acts like a query when opening
It is likely that manyy tables with 600K rows will open slowly since Access is in effect creating a view where you can navigate to any record in the table - it takes time to do this. You didn't mention how "wide" a record is as this also will have an impact. My suggestion would be that you try...- SteveOMalley
