porting queries from Access to SQL Server is most often more than just copy/paste.
In your case, there are at least two things that do not work the same way in SQL Server than in Access.
(I assume you're using SQL Server 2012 or older)
First issue: the iif-expression is not supported...

the reason for displaying the BE mail account is that BE uses the Global Address Book to find it's own Exchange account to send mails with. If the user is not visible in the Global Address Book, BE fails to find itself.
(there is a KB article on Veritas`web site for that...)

I have BE9.1 installed on a domain controller running W2k3 and three SQL Server 2000 instances (one MSDE namend "BackupExec", one "Development" and one "Production").
The SQL Server Option is present.
When I try to backup the databases, everything goes fine with the BackupExec and production...
