Yes I asked. The deal is if you have them as a host they'll register one domain name for free.
Hope we don't fall into that mess of having the domain name snatched. I'll/we'll keep our fingers crossed.

What did "they" say was "standard practice"?
Standard practice was displaying the domain as expiring in January of 2006. They said something like that is automatic and that is not actually registered.
Did they renew the domain on your behalf? No
Did they charge you? No
Why do you want to...

TLD?
It's a .com
I did a whois and it still lists me and my client as the contacts but it also lists 2006 as the expiration year. I contacted the site where it was registered and they said that is standard practice and it is out of their hands. Yes I now realize I should have transfered it...
I have been maintaining a web site for a couple years and now my host now offers free registration. Because of this I let the domain name expire at the place where I registered the name once a year.
This was back in January and the name STILL is not available. Is this typical? If so how much...
Not sure how to explain this but here it goes... We all get email that appears as a web page...it includes links, images and obviously acts like a web page. I'd like to know how that's done?
thanks much.

Can anyone tell me how to convert an internal hard drive to an external hard drive. I have USB 1.1 ports. I've got a couple old hard drives I would love to be able to use in this fashion.
thanks

Before you install SP2 consider what happened to me...
After I installed SP2 System Restore no longer worked and MSN Messenger demanded to be opened when I tried to get into Outlook. I uninstalled SP2 and even though my system isn't as stable as it was before the SP2 install at least I have...
No luck...none what-so-ever. Didn't buy/try the DBXEpress because it would be a waste of money as the file(s) I lost are not critical...just badly missed. I'll just take it as a lesson learned...thanks Microsoft.
Good luck.

--Sir Winston Churchill...
The compact completed successfully and I did a search and found a folder I'd like to try to restore. However, when I ran the wizard it didn't give me that folder as an option to retrieve. I double-checked to make sure I was in the right identity and I was.
I'll try the link from bcastner...
I didn't search the ENTIRE drive but if you think there is a chance I can still retrieve my data I'll pursue your suggestions.
thanks again. I'll be in touch

If you're talking about the Import Wizard in OE I tried that.
The path I specified is the correct path where the messages should have been saved too?
So...when I allowed Windows to compact my folder it sent it off into Never Never land? Can that possibly be true? Please tell me they're saved...
Sorry, I just didn't want my question to go too far down the list without any replies.
I tried your suggestion and it succeeded, however, still no luck. The files(as far as I know) are located in C:\Documents and Settings\Chomauk\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\ and none of them...
