DVD-/+RW Write and Recording Speed problem

I knew about the specifications from Creative, I went to the website to make sure I wasn't crazy ! Plus they are on the box too. I have bought 4x +ReWritables and 8x DVD+R and I don't get those speeds with the media. 4x RW burns at 2x just fine, and 8x has to burn at 2x or there are problems. I...

DVD-/+RW Write and Recording Speed problem

I just got my new computer up and running, and I decided to try burning DVD+Rs and DVD+RWs for the first time in my Creative Labs 8x Dvd-/+RW (DR8420E). I burned about 4.24 gigs to a DVD+RW burning at a speed of about 2x and it burned fine. The drive specifications says it burns maximum at 4x...

No idea - how can I view this folder in Windows??

Thank you! I just went into Folder options and checked off "Hide operating system files (recommended)" and the found.000 file came up! I never really played with the folder options, but thanks for bringing it to my attention. I am very greatful.

No idea - how can I view this folder in Windows??

I have a hard drive with a corrupted version of Windows that cannot be repaired (mainly all the time that would be spent trying to do so would be a waste because I just want to recover files and format the drive.) When I put this hard drive in my new computer, windows Disk Check moved my stuff...

NTDLR disaster; can't access whole hard drive!

At this point, I'm not too crazy about having to get back into Windows but if I can I shall try it. Plus I should add that there are THREE window xp installations on my one hard drive. One I put there myself and that one boots up fine, but I can't see the found.000 folder. The other two have the...

NTDLR disaster; can't access whole hard drive!

I used Knoppix and I found it very user friendly. I found all my files, and Knoppix even has burning software so I can burn my documents to cds or dvd- rs. As for getting into windows , that seems like a lost cause. I fixed the boot problem, but there are several other problems that I can't fix...

What about knoppix, I keep hearing about that? Or how about putting a non xp operating system on the drive (if ntfs allows it which I don't know).

NTDLR disaster; can't access whole hard drive!

Trust me I looked through every single folder on that drive and nothing - all it is was stuff that was on the root drive. Documents and settings is gone, program files gone...Under Windows/all users I'm not even there!!! I think that's probably it - I had a user name for log in and all the stuff...

NTDLR disaster; can't access whole hard drive!

My 120 gig hard drive experienced an NTDLR error. Windows would not load and that would come up. I fixed the boot up through XP Pro's cd. When windows would try to boot up, it would not finish because system32\divers\isapnp.sys was missing or damaged or whatever. So I tried setup and repair, but...
