    Spacing Between Words

    Under the paragraph style options, under Justification, you can change the word spacing. Playing with these numbers should give you the desired effect. Lowering the minimum desired and maximum percentages will bring the words closer together.

    One possible solution is going to File Document Setup and unclick facing pages. This might work to give you a single page.
