When I did it, I set the P2 board to the settings of the P3, and the P3 board to the settings on the P2. I didnt have a pen handy and doing it this way would allow me to switch it back if it went wrong.
This means I cant check the settings on the P3 board for you, and as the processor boards...
Thanks, I've done that and the extra Tab's now show up when looking at a User's details in AD.
Seems like a long way about it tho, is this normal or does it normally do this automatically?
Sounds simple. I've checked the CD tho and cant seem to find anything that looks similar for the adminpak.msi that's on the Windows CD's
Could you tell me exactly what I'm looking for here?
Thermal kit? Oops, that could be a problem.
Hopefully that is just the heatsinks, and as these processors are from a P3 Proliant already, they have a big silver heatsink on them, rather than the smaller black ones on the P2's. With luck this is ok.
The chips are reported by their speed only...
You need to set it in Exchange Manager. I forget the exact details right now, but you make a new virtual server entry for it and then you can enable the feature for each user as needed.
What I do know is that the info is actually on the documentation on the exchange CD, that's where I found...

Unpeturbed, I exited those screens and let the server boot up, the drive shows...
...well I went ahead and tied it.
The server had two Pentium II 400MHz processors in it, and I had a dead P3 proliant. So I swapped in the VRM's and the two Pentium III 550MHz chips, changed the dipswitches to match the dead board and amazingly it booted up.
The POST screen reports the speed...
Thanks for the info, that seems to be what's happened to me. It ran the memory tests just fine so I put it back online and it ran for about 40 hours and stalled, no display and IMD blank. Would not reboot after that.
I've tried all sorts of connections and nothing seems to help - I guess I...
Replying to my own thead :(
I spent a chunk of the day at work reading a great many posts here and noticed some similarities. One post mentioned that the processor cage is not a fragile item and should be hit with a hammer. Well perhaps it didnt exactly say that.
So I removed and refitted...
