IF you need to re-install win98, delete the win.com file in the windows folder. You'll be able to run setup from cd or HDD. Remember to install the win98 in the windows folder and don't let setup choose any other location.
I had the same problem. It seems that the client lost it's settings. All I did was open the Client settings from the red N made sure that all the settings were ok. Hit OK and no more problems. Hope this will help.
I've got it. Go to Symantec's site. There is a utility called FIXKLEZ. Run this utility with the /MAPPED switch. This wil scan all your mapped drives. Try to map drives to the root of your volumes and I am sure it will fix your problem.
