A better e-mail notification
In fact you can't. as far as legato is concerned the backup did not fail. However it so polite as to inform you that some files did not succeed or where still growing while backing up. I'm calling this "tuning". The DB should not be up while your doing a backup in the first place. So there's...- plonnie01

Legato and syslog configuration....
it not only writes to its own files in /nsr/logs but also to system logs. I do not think this makes sense because these are not only errors. I think this has to do with the line in /etc/syslog.conf *.err;kern.debug;daemon.notice;mail.crit /var/adm/messages in combination with the notifications...- plonnie01
