PH,
Unfortunately, still doesn't work. Inserted code and came up with database wizard error.

fp_sQry="SELECT * FROM WPLR WHERE (Project LIKE '::Project::%') ORDER BY Hours ASC"
The Total doesn't necessarily have to be in the same result. It can be a stand alone query but based on the first project identifier query.
Joe
Leslie,
Some projects have a four character identifier, e.g., BB01.
Others have a seven character identifier e.g. SD07.123.
These are top level identifiers. (A given project would have trailing task numbers as well)
So, if a project manager wanted to know who charged to project BB21. They would...
I already have a parameter query with a prompt that goes like this: Like [Project begins with:] & "*" (Parameter query is in the Project field).
So, how would I incorporate the prompted project into your query.
By the way, I'm doing the query via MS Front Page.
I'm running a query on the following type of data
EMPLOYEE PROJECT HOURS
G. Smith BB21 15
G. Jones BB21 20
G. Whiz BB60 40
G. Gee BD00 10
I want to sum the hours of the distinct projects selected in the query. For example, if I select all projects that begin...
I've written the following macro (I've only included a small section) and am having a problem with the second prompt, Year Selector. The macro works fine with a single prompt, the Month Selector. But when I modified the Report to include Year as a prompt, that's when the problem began. How do...
I apologize for the poor TT etiquette. I have the macro working, but what I'd like to do is create a prompt within the macro to identify the value of x. The way the macro is written, I can open it up and change the value. However, I'd rather do this via a prompt. Suggestions? I've included a...
Thanks, Dave. Could you tell me the script language for identifying "x". As for the hard coding, instead of writing 16 different reports for 16 orgs, I've made the org a prompted value/string.
Let me try anew with this question. I have a macro with two prompts. One prompt value is hard coded, second prompt value changes month to month. In the macro there a number of reports generated using the values of both prompts. Is there a way to identify the prompt value that changes month...
What I'd like to do is to only have to enter the month once, the first instance, and have the macro via a loop or some other means (I'm not a programmer, if that's not already obvious) enter the month number from the first instance into the remainder of the macro where the month is requested.
I should have been more specific in regarding the month. The prompt is for the month number. For instance, if I'm running the reports for January, 1 would be entered for that prompted field.
I've already hardcoded the orgs, so I'm almost there. Where I need help is exactly how to write the...
I have a single report that has two prompts, month and org.
I have 16 unique orgs. I know how to write the script for this part. But since the month would be the same for all orgs how do I enter this prompt information only once? Can I write the prompt within the macro so that I don't have to...
Thanks,my original works. I have more than the two prompts in the report and didn't realize that was causing the report to hang. I eliminated the other two prompts and voila, it works.
I've written the following macro. The problem is that the report doesn't run. It hangs at the prompt and I have to manually hit "OK" for the report to run and complete the execution of the macro. What am I missing? Thanks.
