Clear object locks w/o usr logoff

Koz- That's what my experience has been too, just thought I would ask. I'd appreciate the source for the program to disable profiles though. skaelb [at] bergquistinc.com Flapeyre- We always schedule changes at night as well, but there are always special circumstances that require quick...

Clear object locks w/o usr logoff

I am doing a necessary update on one of our programs and need to clear some object locks before continuing. I know I can remove the lib from their list and have the users log off and log back on, but is there a way I can just clear the locks for this program w/o interrupting the users...

monitoring internet connectivity from the router

Are you noticing collisions on the router? Or constant up/down status changes on an interface? I have seen many times where some interface duplexing is incorrectly set for their ISP at half-duplex or auto(which sometimes doesn't set the correct duplexing) and these collisions occur. Check with...

    1811 intermittent connection problems

I agree that's why I questioned the original telco tech I spoke with when activating this line, but they stuck to the 100 half. I called again this afternoon and spoke to their head NOC engineer. He found it was set incorrectly and should be 100 @ full. He mentioned it has issues with...

    1811 intermittent connection problems

Hi Burt- Just for curiosity sake...What does changing it to 10/half do? We are in northwest OH. I have called the telco(Buckeye) and they have stated no issues on their end. I got a hold of a 2651 router last night to try so I can see if it is just a bad NIC on this 1841(not 1811 like I...

    1811 intermittent connection problems

I changed the speed and duplex and I am still receiving the late collision errors. I am assuming because this eth line transmits always in half-duplex is part of the reason for the collisions, since it should not happen in full-duplex, correct? I could understand if it was just a few...

    1811 intermittent connection problems

We recently up'd our bandwidth to a 3 meg ethernet fiber line. I set up this 1811 and for the most part it has worked great. Lately though the internet drops out through this router. I am able to do a quick fix by power cycling the device during normal hours. Otherwise, I am not sure if...

    2007 Daylight Savings Time changes

i5/OS does not have support for the new rules in base R530 or R540. They do provide a PTF that automates this update which was release in the middle of November. IBM will support the new rules long before the Spring 2007 change date. The change is made via PTF, and is part of Standard...

    SQL2K SP3a connection issues

I have a feeling it might be with the antivirus on the systems. I have symantec internet security 2003 on the laptop with which I can allow the traffic I choose on the network to the laptop. All the pc's that stay at the office have Symantec antivirus corporate edition. There is a...

    SQL2K SP3a connection issues

I have checked both the client and server network utilities. Both have tcp/ip enabled and are supposedly listening on port 1433.

    SQL2K SP3a connection issues

Hi All- I am running 2 servers with SQL2K Server. One is running Win2003 server and the other is NT 4.0. Both servers are using the standard 1433 port for SQL. I am trying to get a third server(running NT as well) to connect to the 2003 server via SQL. I am able to connect to the 2003...

    VPN with newer Linksys routers

I've had the same problem with the WRV54G, but was able to connect when I changed the TCP/IP config on the WRV54G. Because the routers default to 192.168.1.x you get conflict between the two or more networks. In the Linksys router change the 1 to another number (ie: 192.168.21.x).
