I need some help I have created some remote rollovers in imageready that contain linked slices on them. The problem I have is the linked slice is always active even when it is not visable. If anyone could help me out on this it would be greatly appreciated

My printer is an HP 9500hdn. I’m not only getting lines across the images but I get wedges of colors behind the imported images where there’s a transparency but not
on all the pages or all images. It almost seems like there’s a hick-up in the communication between the computer and printer...
Seems there are several of us having problems with In Design printing. I’m getting wedges of color around my graphics and black lines through the images when printing on an HP LaserJet 9500. I’ve talked to HP and they are trying to help.
Has anyone found a solution? Is Adobe aware of the...
The file was saved as a CMYK and I had the transparency flattener set to high. Maybe exporting to 'press' will make the difference. Thanks for your reply and help jmgalvin.
I created a flyer in InDesign with 3 gradient boxes. The “walk in quick print” shop I have to use, wants the file as a PDF rather than InDesign. Everything looks fine on the computer screen and when it’s printed through an inkjet printer. However when it goes through their printer, the gradient...
Thanks very much Mscallisto . Russell Brown's website is great. Very helpful. And his enthusiasm as he teaches is a crack-up to listen to. Much more enjoyable than some of the mundane speakers on other websites.
Can someone walk me through using the pen tool to isolate an object from the background? I can’t get the edges clean enough using any of the Lasso Tools or the Magic Wand.
Thanks for your help MarcusStringer. That works for inserting the text. However, I am still having a problem, with the images. The best I can figure is to put an image box in the library then drag it onto the pages then insert the images to that box. Seems there should be a more efficient way.
The classroom books are great to learn the program. However, I agree with litsim. The Quick Start books are great! I have them for several programs. You can look up something in the index and find an answer without all the extra verbiage you get in most other reference books. Plus their usually...
I'm doing a catalog in In Design CS on a PC. On my Master page I made a text box and created a table to house the catalog info. But when I try and insert the pictures and text in the document pages I can't get an insertion point. I tried creating text boxes on the master page, but they don't...
Which do you feel is the all round best? TIFF or EPS?
I’m trying to modify a catalog that was done with very oversized jpg pictures and the file is huge. I can’t tell you how slow my computer is working on it.
My plan it to re-size all the pictures first. But I’m not certain if it’s best to...
I’m doing an ad in Vietnamese. I typed the text in Word using symbols to get the correct fonts, but when I tried to put it in Quark, it didn’t recognize the symbols. I changed the Word file into a pdf and cut and pasted the text into Quark as a picture. But no matter how the high a resolution...
