    You might want to look into the cacls command and perhaps integrating it into a script. Using cacls you should be able to display the ACL information to see who has permission to a specific file.

    This might not be realted, but I would install URLScan - It's a tool by Microsoft to prevent non legitimate requests / attacks on your scripts. The config file will have to be heavily modified, but MS has a good amount of info on this. Like the others have said check the sys logs also make...

    Do you have any scheduled tasks that are set to run at night? I have seen this happen with Norton AntiVirus scans amongst other things.
