can anyone supply me with information or point me to a good guide as to what changes are required in exchange 5.5 settings when changing from an isdn dialup connection to a leased line.
Some of the things i need to know are - (and maybe other things I'm overlooking can be pointed out to me)...
Our exchange server 5.5 is currently configured to use a 128KB ISDN TA modem to Dialup our ISP for external email (set to dialup every 15 minutes)
We are changing soon to a 256KB leased line using a router.
If anyone could help me with information on what settings and where in Exchange 5.5...
We have Small Business Server 4.5 with 25 user licenses (which seems to be the max for sbs)
We hope to upgrade soon to win 2000
But in the meantime are there any limitations for more than 25 users logging in at the one time and using the resources (exchange 5.5 mailboxes, printers, files...
We had a problem once where our server (which acts as a file/mail/print server) started rebooting, would stay up for a couple of hours and then reboot again.
we observed that free space on our c drive was being eaten up to virtually no free space. (we thought virus)
the hard drive was checked...
Our present system includes a server and 40 client PCs.
The Server runs NT4 Small Business Server with Excgange 5.5
email connection is through 128KB ISDN using a 3COM pro TA modem
connected to serial port1 of the NT Server.
some users send emails with large attachments (5 to 20mb) reqularly...
