ATI Radeon 9700 Pro Boot Problems...

Thanks for the reply kiddpete, I have some answers for you: On this motherboard (Very simaler to the EliteGroup P4VMM, http://www.baber.com/baber/411/ecs_p4vmm.htm ) there is no way to disable the onboard video, either by jumpers or through the BIOS. I did, however, try deleting my video...

ATI Radeon 9700 Pro Boot Problems...

Hey all, I bought an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro, installed it into my computer, and the computer failed to boot. The HDD Activity (red) LED was lit, but the Power (yellow) LED was not, I took the card out, and it booted just fine. Before you say that my system just isn't compatible with the card I will...

My GeForce4 Ti4600 Just Died (Maybe)

Two things, first; How would you know, maybe the 'hairs' are causing a short, and perhaps removing them will help, second; I still want to know, call it a morbid curiosity. -Olen

My GeForce4 Ti4600 Just Died (Maybe)

Alright, if you don't know what they are, do you know of anyone who would know? Or perhaps how to get rid of them? -Olen

Ok, I'll concede that, but do you know what the 'hairs' are? -Olen

My GeForce4 Ti4600 Just Died (Maybe)

I tried it in another system with the same result, but I don't think "defective" applies to a two year old card that (until now) has run without a hitch. Can anyone tell me what those 'hairs' are, or could you point me somwhere I can find out? -Olen Garn

My GeForce4 Ti4600 Just Died (Maybe)

Hey all, I was taking a close look at the board with a magnifying glass and I found these (view pictures), I can't remove them with either compressed air or a small paintbrush. I was hoping that someone with more knowledge then me could give me a hand. http://www.stromint.com/images/cb_01.gif...

Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro Software

Could you provide a link to a place where I can download the sidewinder software for XP, the software that came with it only works on 98. Incidentally, I use the Sidewinder Force Feedback pro not the Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 ~Olen Garn

Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro Software

Well I appreciate you trying, Linney, but what I said in my post is that I wanted software that would decrease the tension. I had to unplug the joystick from the power outlet because the tension was set to high, and that is why there was no tension on it. ~Olen Garn

Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro Software

Hi all, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question, but this looked the closest. I have my old Sidewinder FF Pro hooked up and working on my Win XP system, but in all the games that I play (Lock-On Modern Air Combat for example) the tension is set to the stiffest setting, so...

My GeForce4 Ti4600 Just Died (Maybe)

Well, I have tried a thorough cleaning, using compressed air, a small, dry, paintbrush to get the dust out of the cracks, removing the fan\heat sink, cleaning it, and reinstalling it. After the cleaning and a night of letting the card rest (the purpose of that to make sure it wasn't overheated)...

My GeForce4 Ti4600 Just Died (Maybe)

Hi all, I bought my GeForce 4 Ti4600 about two years ago, and have had no problems with it, but now the display is screwed up. There are lines across it, random pixels around it, and a multicolored checkerboard of squares surrounds my cursor wherever I move it. I have determined that it is a...
