actually i put this thing together it had major issues and i made it work...but i am just having problems with the settings actually staying...the novice part was meant in jest...the reason i went with the low budget end laptop is for its intended purpose for use in conjuncion with a lap...- kcrunchone

Resolution causing monitor display to get smaller
hey felix may be you can help me...i installed some drivers in an old dell cpi...i installed what dell said was the latest drivers and it took the 1024x768 down to 800x600 and it has not been able to change even after i installed the drivers that were on the macine prior to me changing...- kcrunchone

my friend gave me the right drivers and i tried them out...it did not work what do you think i should do...i tried installingt he drivers and it will not change the adapter seting it stays at 800x600 even after i hit apply and restart the machine...- kcrunchone

new to the forum so i hope this is in the right spot... i have a dell latitude cpi a 366 at with windows 98 se... the video drivers were fine i was told to get the latest drivers from dell and i did that..but now that i have done that i am at 800x600 and teh view is horrible...i need to get back...- kcrunchone
