    Cognos Query Wildcard?

    I am a new user of Cognos Query. This is probably a pretty basic question, but can anyone tell me how I can use a wild card in my criteria? What will Cognos recognize as one, and where do I use it? Does it go in as an expression? Please Help!! Thamks, Kim
