check out your smtp que and your connectors to see what is going on. the smtp virtual server has propeeties that tell you if messages are held in que before being dekivered....
I had implemented Imap4 and POP3 and it disrupted the owa process...i disabled the services meaning just stopped them and owa worked again. Make sure to see if your user is using pop3 or imap4.....it could be preventing the access to owa.

exchange fully is ready when all the services are ready, make sure all the services are set on automatic. Maybe you need more ram.
i had the opposite problem, my exchange server wolud take 10-20 minutes to shutdown, so now i just stop the services for when the server has to be shutdown and it...
i am using exmerge to restore a users mailbox...i have the users data all stored in a .pst after using exmerge.
do i just go to the user's .pst path on his desktop and copy the new .pst into his path?
i have done that before and when user opens up his outlook it shows
exmerge-(username)...

have you check you IMS property? maybe you have a filter that might reject that domain or maybe you have filter to reject recepients from that domain....
or maybe that domain has filter to reject email from your domain....

since your HDD space is very low i suggest you take advantage of setting up quotas for your user and setup a monitor to see how your HDD is doing.

i hope you have a backup of the pri.edb and the edb.log files, if you want to restore a single mailbox, the best way is to to have a recovery server with all the same informaton as the server that was lost, you can use a different name since you are only doing a single restore.
