I believe I just fixed my problem... sorry and thanks...maybe this will help someone else... I connect direct to motherboard.. however... didn't realize that in my bios, my boot order I had to select SCSI as my first boot option... didn't realize or understand the SCSI and sata relationship...- FunkStudio

I just installed a 120 g sata drive to replace my 40 g ide drive. Both with win xp pro.
