I welcome any help with what I believe should be a pretty simple process.
I need to create a report of all of the printers on my network including their model #, name, & office location.
I am sure that HP Web JetAdmin has this capability, but the details of the process are unclear to me...

I am in the process of creating new profiles for a few thousand users. In order to make a clean switch, I will need to delete the local cached copy of several user profiles & delprof.exe can do this on the individual basis. Has anyone had experience using it for thousands of machines, maybe...
I know that you can configure a GPO to delete cached copies of roaming profiles. This link even provides the details:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/274152/EN-US/
The only problem is that it doesn't want to work. I also can see that the GPO is being recognized. Any suggestions...
What would be the easiest way to setup a default profile for a few thousand users and make sure that their profile is deleted from their local machines at logoff.
I'm running 2003 server w/ SQL 2K SP4 and the educational software (CompassLearning Odyssey)demands SP3a. Is there a way for me to safely go down to this?
I need to remove 'tip of the day' from IE using the GPO. Under "user configuration/administrative templates/windows components/internet explorer/browser menus" it has been disabled, but the user still has access. Any ideas why?
I have configured a GPO for users that works fine. The only thing that is allowed that I would like restricted is "help" in IE. Where is this setting located in AD?
thanks
How can I hide & restrict access to drives A, C, D, & E? Active Directory allows restricting A to D or all, but I don't see an option for just the ones that I need... Any suggestions?
When configuring a GPO, which provides for a quicker logon: leaving a setting "Not configured" if it doesn't need changing or setting it to the setting (either enabled or disabled) that most resembles the default?
thanks
In active directory under user config> admin templates> windows components> net meeting there are numerous settings, but is there one to completely disable netmeeting all together? if so, where?
Quick question: do you put all of your GPOs in the same location in AD & just link them as needed or do you place them under the OU that they pertain to & link to other OUs if needed?
the group policy management console displays approx. 55 entries for user config> windows settings & admin templates w/ multiple entries below each. are you recommending i create about that many gpos?
Of course there's more than one way to "skin a cat," but some ways are better than others. What do you think? Some people say its best to have a seperate GPO for each setting, but others say that can create too many GPOs.
If you're managing 5,000 or more users, what makes your life easiest...
