My problem is only with sending emails, not picking up pop email, so I wonder if you may have a different problem. If you have windows xp, then go start >> programs >> accessories >> system tools >> system restore, then choose "restore my computer to a previous time" and on the next page simply...- peteekp

I have had a similar problem, except that it's not just slowing down, emails aren't sending at all. If I turn off email scanning, it works fine. The problem seems to be caused by a symantec common client update - I've done a system restore to the day before the update, and again, it works fine.- peteekp
