thanks tony - but i am still mystified. the cd rom was purchased from linux central. they say that it is not their problem. the operating system by the way is xp. what do you think? bill- 4010398

upon using the setup routine on openoffice i get an error message-"line3; syntax error at token 'E' expected. the cdrom is on the e drive.- 4010398
