    No, SOAP is a way for communicating thru the internet. Say, if you are dealing with customer having applications that interacts with your server. DCOM, and COM is the fastest way for communicating with objects within your network.

    There is a little problem here. The bigger the system gets, the better scaleability is nessesary. Thats why SP´s isn't always the best solution. If bigger system i'd say COM or DCOM. (Loadbalancing is possible)..
