This usually works for this problem: Go to the HOSTS file on the Legato server and create entries with the IP, netbios name, and FQDN for every legato client. Connection Timed out
The HOSTS file trick takes care of about 50% of mysterious Legato problems. Especially the "timed out due to inactivity" error. Make sure that the HOSTS file on each client points to the Legato Server using long and short names and that the HOSTS file on the Legato server contains...- mcamara
