the monitor doesnt turn off just states no input signal from input a, defo nothing wrong with connections and all is set correct, stumped but onna run some hardware diagnostic tools on it and see whats what!
i have had this error many times over when repairing pc's and it has always related to bad memory, i would suggest changing the memory completely and you must be mad trying to run xp on 64mb, i would use at least 256mb but preferably 512mb, hope this helps

i can be working on my machine when the monitor will just power off on its own, a reboot normally sorts the issue, i had to reset the bios last time to get it to turn back on though, can anyone help??

Help! i am fairly technical and i am really just trying to avoid getting another board/cpu but i have swapped a packard bell system into a new case and the system will now not post at all, no vga, hdd led stays lit, cant try other memory as i have no other rdram, its a socket 428 cpu, any ideas...
