    Device is in use or busy

    When I put a tape in and start a backup it says the device is in use already and there seems to be no way to get around this. All the tapes give me the same answer. When I try to identify the tape is gives error 409 divice is in use. HELP!

    My problem is similar except that the backups I have set up and I did do them individually ~ 4 of them. All complete OK and THEN it locks the 2003 server up and I have to reboot it.     Eureka! The tape waas renamed or relabeled (I am not sure what the difference is) when I backed up another job last night. Yes, There are the backups for the previous nights also. What is the difference between renae and relabel? John
