Thanks for the ideas folks. I agree that the BCM isn't quite the correct soloution but it's the one the sales departments (mine and my vendor's) worked out with no input from IT, so I gotta make it work.
Do you seriously think more memory will help?
I am pressuring my vendor on this...
We've had our BCM 3.6 for almost 2 months and it's been less than flawless. At this poinnt we're experiencing clipping, delay, what appears to be half-duplexing, and we are limited in where we can build modems.
Here's the configuration: we're a little too big to fit in 1 BCM with an expansion...
Avaya Definity can do this exactly the way you want. Just leave the phone cross wired to a port and the station (DN)built with the port left blank (or x'd out). Pick up the phone and dial in the extension you want it to be. Done.
