It turned out to be my firewall that was butting heads with NAV2005. I went back two versions of my firewall to solve the problem. I'm using Kerio Personal Firewall.
I recently upgraded from NSW 2004 Professional to NSW 2005 Premier. I did an uninstall of NSW 2004 before installing NSW 2005. I'm runnng WinXP Pro w/SP2. I did not have the problem I'm about to describe with NSW 2004 and NSW 2003 before that.
