    Importing CDR files - problem

    Why might I have problems in corel 11 importing other corel 11 files (cdr) into a new or existing file? When I click on "import, nothing comes into the file? Same happens with some files when I try to "open" them. All of the proper "association" filters are checked. Thanks in advance.

    corel draw bitmap backgrounds

    I have imported a color bit map file in corel draw 9. When I click onto 'wireframe' i notice an invisible background that I'd like to remove in order to place the jpg pic on vector art. thanks
