Hey all,
Been battling with this one for a week. I have an employee that had the ability to open and update calendar objects for another employee (well, the president of the company). However, as of late, she keeps getting the following error:
"Can't open this item. Out of memory or system...
Hello all,
I came across a major problem this past weekend, and figured I'd pass it along to the rest of you.
If you are experiencing poor throughput when restoring data with ArcServe 11.1 (may work for other versions, but have not tried, so I am no liable for any issues caused) to an AIX/Unix...
The unfortunate thing about this whole situation is that I've been pushed into a position where I will be taking over for someone else, and told to "figure it out" as I am now supporting this product. I am not familiar with GP, technical or otherwise, so frustration is setting in.
I don't know...
Hey all,
As of this morning, my company has made its 950,000th journal entry in GP v. 7.00g12. The limit, apparently, is 999,999.
Has anyone come across the situation where this limit is reached? What will happen after the 999,999th posting? We're looking at hitting that number in...
Hi there,
I'm using AVG Network Edition on our network (100+ machines), and I am in the process of migrating the datacenter to another server. Currently, it is housed on our PDC.
Does anyone know how to send out a mass update to all clients using AVG Admin to change the datacenter address to...
Yes, the host allows remote desktop connections, and the user is a member. They CAN ping their remote PCs, and they connect via VPN through a Watchguard X1000 firebox.
When they connect, they get just a black screen (whether it's Remote Desktop, VNC, or pcAnywhere). Stumped...

First question: will the admin at the other site allow you a VPN account? I don't know about anybody else, but in our company, I don't allow just anyone to have access to the network.
pcAnywhere would probably be the most viable option, however, there are many questions that need to be...
Hi guys,
I've racked my brain over this one...here are the details:
We have a Firebox X1000 set up in our main office, which we use for DVCP connections to our stores and VPN connections for our employees (via PPTP).
Two of our employees are running Windows 98 at home and Windows XP Pro at...

In the winnt\system32\spool\printers folder, there are a number of 0KB .spl files, and 7 .tmp files, ranging from 3KB to 6339KB in size (named Lpr****.tmp). Other than this, not really seeing anything of significance.

Hi there,
Our setup: NT4 as PDC, also serving print queues to the entire network.
Today, for some unknown reason, all the print queues (around 15) brought up solid. As in, whenever anyone attempts to print, Access is Denied error is returned.
I've restarted the spooler service, and have...
Was brought in through an employee's home machine that was hooked up to the network without permission. Within 10 seconds, all printers started going crazy.
Have made the move and am in the process of setting up AVG Network Edition. Great program, though initial setup is a bit of a challenge...
I cannot find a contact number anywhere whatsoever for AVG. The phones at my office are going absolutely insane, and I'm about to haul all the hair out of my head!

That's what we've been looking at - a corporate-wide shutdown. Will AVG Network Edition give a report stating which particular machine is infected?

Can be done, but once again, if these systems are still connected to the network, they are still at an extremely high risk of immediate infection.
All anti-viral companies have a seperate removal utility for BugBear, and recommend each workstation is disco'ed from the network until the entire...
I understand your reasoning for doing this. However, if it is on another section of the network (say, location 3 is infected), once these people have scanned and cleaned upon login, the possibility of them becoming infected once again is huge. This virus appears to be flooding the entire WAN...
The BugBear virus appears to have nailed my corporate network...we're looking at 11 grocery stores spanning 1000km apart, connected via DSL WANlinks. ALso included are two wholesaling warehouses, and multiple office locations. Overall, a network of around 300 computers.
BugBear is affecting...
