Thanks for reply SQLBill, After posting this message, i continued searching this forum and found a number of other posts with users experiencing the same problem as I have. The solution is the good old tech advice of "Have you tried rebooting your computer?". I rebooted and everything worked...- StuartShepherd

SQL Server Authentication
I have recently installed SQL Server 2000 onto my development computer. I need to set SQL Servers Authentication to "SQL Server and Windows" so I can use the SA login.
